The 20 Things Your Biz Needs Before 2027 (When It's Just You + Your Laptop)

The short answer: How can I use Claude to run my small business? In my class, Claude for Business Owners, I teach it in twenty short lessons starting October 5th. You plug Claude into your email, calendar, files, and payments, then have it build your brand and website, answer routine email, do your books, write proposals, track clients, draft outreach, and build a live dashboard. Claude Pro is $20 a month. The class is $695, refundable through October 12.

Fun new announcement! 📣

No, I'm not switching to T-Mobile. (Though, I do have their wifi, and it is better than cheese.)

Rather [she says while pulling a handkerchief out of her blouse] I've just added some exciting new must-have lessons inside of Claude for Business Owners—which starts this Monday, cowkids! 👏—based on the intake forms of students who have already joined. [Thank you to you!]

We are going to have so much fun upskilling the hell out of ourselves. I think you're going to love the additions.

Here's the new rundown:

Part One: Claude 101 + Mad Business Skills

Lesson 1: Your new staff reports for duty. Most people have only ever met the chat box. You're about to meet the other three—including Claude Code, my favorite superpower—and together, we'll plug Claude into your email, your calendar, your files, and your payments, and then... I'm not telling. There's a moment at the end of this lesson where your jaw hits the desk, and a little surprise waiting for you the next morning. (That's all you get.)

Lesson 2: Give your staff mad business skills. Teach Claude your offers, your clients, your voice, and your rules exactly once. Then turn your signature method into a skill it uses forever. This is the day it stops being a chatbot and starts being a workforce.

Part Two: Website, Brand & Tech

Lesson 3: Build a modern new brand. Colors, fonts, voice, and logo direction, packaged into a brand guide Claude follows forever. This is the step almost everyone skips, and it's exactly why their AI stuff looks like AI stuff.

Lesson 4: Build a modern new website or a standalone landing page. A brand-new website, standalone sales page or landing page, or a glow-up of the site you already have: WordPress, Ghost, Squarespace, Wix, Framer. You won't learn to code. You'll learn something far more valuable: how to direct someone who does.

Lesson 5: Look like a real company everywhere. Your newsletter template, your checkout, your course platform, your social profiles, every thumbnail and banner in between. Suddenly everything you own looks like it came from the same very expensive company.

Part Three: Newsletter, Lead Magnets & Opt-Ins

Lesson 6: Get more subscribers with a freebie they actually want. An opt-in page wired straight to your list, and a lead magnet people will trade their email for in five seconds (designed without ever opening Adobe InDesign, thank LORD).

Lesson 7: Emails that sell while you sleep. The welcome sequence you've been going to set up since 2022, plus the tags, segments, and automations that send the right email to the right person at the right time. Built for you. You write, you hit send, you make money.

Part Four: Your Back Office

Lesson 8: Stay on top of your inbox like never before. Routine emails answered in your words, from a script you write. The hard ones, like when you know you're going to miss a deadline, drafted and waiting for your edits. And the ones that require a fully personal note: flagged and sent to you as a task to follow up on.

Lesson 9: Get your books done (and stop dreading taxes). I had Claude redo a full year of my books: 2,957 transactions. It came within $246 of my bookkeeper. (I'll show you the one mistake it made, because you need to know about it.) Plus every forgotten subscription draining your account, and the weird little tax trick that means April never ambushes me again.

Lesson 10: Get your legal docs buttoned up. Terms, privacy policy, refund policy, client contracts, affiliate agreements: written for your actual business, not copied off somebody else's site at 1am. (We don't talk about that.) No lawyer replaced, but you'll walk in with everything done.

Part Five: Social Media & Marketing

Lesson 11: Never wonder what to write again. A stream of clever content ideas lands in your inbox every morning at 7am, pulled from what's actually happening now in your industry, and what people are asking about. Plus an honest answer to the question every business owner is scared to ask: what's actually working?

Lesson 12: Get found in AI search engines. The four-minute trick that gets your posts quoted in AI search engines (the new Google). Because nobody Googles anymore unless they're looking for the nearest wine shop and are desperate. I'll show you the hidden code I put on every post, and exactly how to add it to yours.

Lesson 13: Post once, show up everywhere. Every new post turns itself into social posts for every platform, in your voice, with graphics in the exact sizes you need, waiting in your drafts. Goodbye to spending ages making Canva graphics you don't even like.

Part Six: Selling the Hell Out of Yourself

Lesson 14: Make people want to buy your stuff. The #1 thing students told me they want off their plate? Explaining why people should buy their stuff. Claude mines your testimonials, reviews, and client emails for the exact words your buyers already use, then rewrites your offer around them. Your marketing will finally sound like your customers instead of your website.

Lesson 15: Cold outreach and follow-up that doesn't feel gross. Claude researches the podcasts, partners, and prospects worth pitching, and writes the pitches. Then it finds everyone who's gone quiet and drafts personal follow-ups (not “just checking in”). You press send. Or you don't. Either way, no more finding a hot lead in your inbox six months too late.

Part Seven: Clients & Project Management

Lesson 16: Send proposals in minutes, not days. Talk through a project for five minutes. Get back a scoped estimate and a polished proposal in your brand, ready to send before the client has finished their latte.

Lesson 17: Never lose track of a client again. Claude updates your client records from every email and message, keeps track of who bought what, makes sure every client has actually checked every box, and writes the progress reports you dread. (One student's exact words: “Writing the ongoing reports.” Consider it handled.)

Part Eight: Creating Digital Products

Lesson 18: Turn what you know into something you sell. Claude interviews you, mines your brain, finds the holes in your thinking, and helps you build the course, guide, or program you've been talking about for two years.

Lesson 19: Build a tool people will pay for. Yes. An actual tool. Calculators, quizzes, client portals, little tools you can sell, give away, or use to run your own business. If you can describe it, Claude can build it. (You'll want one by lunch.)

The Finale

Lesson 20: See your whole business on one screen. The numbers you actually care about, on one page, refreshing themselves every morning. Then we use them to predict what your next offer will do before you spend a single dollar promoting it. You, running the whole show.

That's twenty lessons. Each one is short (most under 25 minutes), practical, and ends with something working in your actual business. They start landing in your inbox this Monday, October 5th, and they're yours forever.

And here's the math I keep coming back to:

A bookkeeper, a VA, a web designer, an attorney, and a launch consultant will run you $22,300+ a year, the old way. Claude Pro is $20 a month. This class is $695.

That's a whole staff of fifteen, minus the payroll, minus the Slack channel, minus the guy named Chad who microwaves fish at lunch.

And if the first week doesn't blow your hair back, you're fully refundable through October 12.

See you Monday.

P.S. Lesson 1 has a surprise in it.

P.P.S. A "cowkid" is obviously the gender neutral term we have all been waiting for all these years, CLEARLY.

P.P.P.S. Nothing is actually better than cheese.
