This website and its contents — essays, classes, guides, and downloads — are provided for general information and entertainment. You're welcome to read, share links, and quote briefly with attribution. Republishing full essays or course materials without written permission isn't allowed.

Purchases & refunds

For self-paced digital products (on-demand classes and downloads), all sales are final due to their nature—instant, irrevocable access. For live and scheduled courses: pre-orders and early bird purchases are eligible for a full refund up until the release date. Once a course begins, courses longer than two weeks are eligible for a full refund until the end of the first week of the course (based on the course syllabus). For courses two weeks or shorter, including one-day workshops, no refunds are available once the course has started. Refunds cannot be issued to retroactively lower the price of an enrollment. Once a course is complete and available on demand, all sales are final.

Short version: some links on this site and in my emails make me money. I'll always tell you when that's the case, it never costs you anything extra, and it never changes what I recommend.

Longer version, for the lawyers and the curious:

An affiliate link is a regular link with a tracking code attached. If you click one and buy something, the company pays me a commission. You pay the same price you'd pay anyway. Sometimes less, if I've negotiated a discount for readers.

Where you'll find them

Ash Ambirge and Irreverent Ambition Inc. (that's the company behind this site and the Extraordinary Work newsletter) participate in affiliate programs with software companies, publishers, retailers, and service providers whose products appear in our content. Any post, page, or email that contains affiliate links carries a notice at the top saying so. That one notice covers every link in that piece, so you won't see "(affiliate link)" tagged after each one.

Amazon

Ash Ambirge is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I only link to things I use, have paid for myself, or have tested thoroughly enough to put my name next to. Nobody gets a recommendation because they have an affiliate program. Plenty of things I recommend have no affiliate program at all, and I link to them anyway. If a product I've recommended gets worse, I'll say so, commission or not.

Advertisers who pay to appear in the newsletter or on the site are labeled as such at the placement itself: you'll see "Sponsored" or "Partner" next to the ad. Sponsorships are sold through a separate process, sponsors don't get editorial input, and I write every ad myself. This affiliate disclosure does not cover sponsored placements; they carry their own label wherever they appear.
