Seek Pleasure, And You Will Have Found Your Work

Procrastination is not a symptom of something that’s wrong with you, your brain, or your level of commitment—it’s a clue.

Something is wrong with it.

The thing you’re doing—do you really want to be doing it? Does this actually give you joy, or have you roped yourself into yet another maze of obligations and onuses, on the borrowed promise of a future that will be better?

You don’t have to sacrifice today in order to make a better tomorrow. In fact, the opposite is true: a miserable today means a miserable tomorrow, too.

Seek pleasure, and you will have found your work.

Seek work, and you will have found a job.

The two are not the same.
